Thanks to a new program the Golden Spike has seen more attendance this summer than last.
The all-in-one ticket allows tourists to visit three North Platte attractions the Golden Spike Tower, Lincoln County Museum, and Scouts Rest Ranch State Park.
In 2014 the golden spike saw 4,323 tourists in June, and this year they saw 4,733 exceeding their goal of 4,500.
Executive Director of the Golden Spike Tower, Kristen Parker says, "I think the all-in-one ticket has really helped us. In the first month of June in the organization and the process of the all-in-one ticket we did see nearly over 700 people purchase those all-in-one tickets, and so that's been an increase for our entire community."
The Golden Spike Tower over looks bailey yard..
Parker says people from all over the world love to stop by just to see the world's largest railyard.
