Lincoln Man Arrested on Arson Charges

Lincoln Police have arrested a man for allegedly trying to start a truck and a fence on fire.

LINCOLN, Neb.-- Lincoln Police have arrested a man for allegedly trying to start a truck and a fence on fire.

Officers say 36-year-old Richard Mason went to a former bosses house upset, intoxicated and smelling of gasoline. Police say Mason told him that they had "better call the fire department." That's when the man noticed a fence had been doused in gasoline.

Police say Mason also tried to start another neighbor's truck on fire. Trash and hay ignited in the back of the truck, but police say there was no damage to the truck.
